I am a contemporary artist known for figurative paintings, working primarily with acrylic and incorporating selected mixed media. I stage my subjects, depicting my own visual language of dissecting the psyche, and exploring the conscious and unconscious aspects of "self". My experience with repressed emotional pain and trauma inspired me to capture friends and individuals in my closest community to tell the story of finding myself, portraying my subjects in the midst of introspection, referencing their personal narrative and memories while simultaneously drawing from my own. My portraits go beyond a literal portrayal but rather, an inner dialogue. This process helps me establish connection and relatability with myself and the individual(s). I use a vibrant, high-energy color palette, forcing the viewer to be reeled in, focusing on the essence of the work. I have a need to emphasize inner strength, core identity, personal testimony and purpose, inspiring others to reconnect with themselves.

Art can raise awareness and infuse the community with love and unity.
